JOB OVERVIEW

Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee accessories; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies; creative coffee art.

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
• Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, café latté, and cappuccino.
• Generates revenues by attracting new customers.
• Maintain guest relations and smoothness of the service cycle.
• Greeting guests; taking serving and clearing orders.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and standards as per Kuwait Govt. Laws and company standards
• Maintain a healthy work atmosphere and follow all safety and sanitization policies when handling food and beverage.
• Other opening, hand over, ongoing and closing duties.
• Offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
• Follow restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Organize take away orders efficiently and handle orders from home delivery.
• Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies.
• Set up or restock product displays.
• Stock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks; updating coffee artistry skills.
• Enhances reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Team work

• High School Degree
• Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in F&B operations / Café in a similar role
• Knowledge of different specialty drink items preparation is a plus
