JOB OVERVIEW

Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
– Lead and manage a small team of IT staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and ensuring efficient task allocation to meet business needs and IT support requirements.
Network Infrastructure:
– Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure including firewalls, DMZ, switches, and routers to ensure robust security and high availability of services.
Virtualization & Server Management:
– Oversee and manage virtualized infrastructure, predominantly using VMware ESXi, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. Maintain and optimize Windows-based servers, laptops, and desktops.
Security & Firewall Management:
– Implement and manage firewalls, ensuring proper configuration of security policies to safeguard the network. Oversee web application filtering and other security-related tasks to minimize risks.
Active Directory & Group Policies:
– Administer and maintain Active Directory, ensuring the proper configuration of Group Policies to streamline user management, security configurations, and permissions across the network.
System Administration:
– Perform hands-on system administration tasks, including patch management, software deployments, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues on both hardware and software.
Disaster Recovery & Backup:
– Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and data, ensuring business continuity.
Project Management:
– Plan and execute IT-related projects, including upgrades, system migrations, and infrastructure enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
Vendor & Contract Management:
– Negotiate contracts with IT service providers and vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement of hardware, software, and services.      -Manage relationships to ensure prompt issue resolution and optimal pricing.
Budget Management & Licensing:
– Manage IT budgets, ensuring expenditures are in line with financial goals. Oversee licensing renewals, ensuring compliance and optimizing costs.
– Prepare cost analysis for IT resources and manage IT procurement processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on network infrastructure, virtualization, system administration, and budget management.
– Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi or similar virtualization platforms.
– Expertise in Windows Server Administration and Active Directory management.
– Solid understanding of firewalls, DMZ setup, and network security best practices.
– Proficient in managing switches, routers, and other network hardware.
– Experience with Group Policies, Web Application Filtering, and VPN technologies.
– Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup solutions, and IT project management.
– Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
– Proven ability to manage IT budgets, licensing, and cost control.
– Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
Desired Certifications (Preferred but not required):
– VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
– Microsoft Certified: Windows Server
– Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
– Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Salary range :  16,000 QAR -18,000 QAR
