JOB OVERVIEW

Responsibilities:
– Assess, underwrite and approve complex or high-value marine risks across Hull, Cargo and Marine liability.
– Review surveys, loss reports, vessel specifications, cargo types, routing and operational practices to determine risk acceptability.
– Ensure the application of Marine underwriting guidelines, pricing models and global best practices.
– Coordinate with loss prevention teams and surveyors for high -risk accounts.
– Monitor Marine portfolio performance including loss ratio.
– Coordinate with reinsurance companies on treaty and facultative placements.
– Identify accounts requiring facultative support based on vessel size, cargo exposure or liability limits.
– Provide underwriting data and justifications for reinsurance negotiations.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor degree in Business, Insurance or a Master degree in related field, CII is a plus.
– Strong technical knowledge in underwriting (Motor, Property, Marine. Solid understanding of risk assessment pricing and portfolio management)
– Years of experience : 7-12 years of underwriting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role

*Salary range : $3000 – $5000 +Transportation + Medical and Life Insurance
