JOB OVERVIEW
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for overseeing the recruitment and hiring processes within the organization, ensuring that the company attracts, hires, and retains top talent. This role involves developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, managing a team of recruiters, and collaborating with department heads to understand their staffing needs. The Talent Acquisition Manager will also be responsible for enhancing the employer brand and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent across various functions within the organization.
- Collaborate with senior management and department heads to forecast staffing needs and develop recruitment plans that align with business objectives.
- Utilize data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruiters, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Set clear goals and expectations for the talent acquisition team, monitoring their progress and providing regular feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
- Candidate Sourcing and Recruitment:
- Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires.
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, job boards, universities, and other talent sources to build a strong candidate pipeline.
- Utilize social media, networking events, and other creative sourcing techniques to identify and engage with potential candidates.
- Conduct interviews, assess candidates, and make recommendations to hiring managers.
- Employer Branding:
- Enhance the company’s employer brand by developing and promoting a compelling employee value proposition.
- Work with the marketing team to create and manage recruitment marketing campaigns that attract diverse and high-quality candidates.
- Represent the company at job fairs, career events, and industry conferences to build brand awareness and attract top talent.
- Candidate Experience:
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear communication, providing timely feedback, and creating an efficient and respectful recruitment process.
- Implement best practices for candidate assessment, selection, and onboarding to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
- Gather feedback from candidates and new hires to continually improve the recruitment and onboarding experience.
- Diversity and Inclusion:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain a diverse workforce, ensuring the company’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Partner with HR and leadership to create and promote inclusive hiring practices and policies.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure that all recruitment activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including equal employment opportunity laws.
- Maintain accurate records of all recruitment activities and provide regular reports to senior management on key metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality.
- Stay updated on trends and best practices in talent acquisition, employment law, and HR technology.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing recruitment processes in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in building and leading high-performing recruitment teams.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, candidate sourcing, and selection techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other HR software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
